FiOS Internet Moves Your Data at Light-Speed

High-speed internet service is only as good as its delivery system. Corroded cables or power disruptions slow standard cable internet connections. With FiOS internet, your business benefits from a network of glass cables that transfer data as light instead of electricity with limited attenuation. That means that the information traveling to you meets a connection that’s as smooth as glass.

FiOS Business Internet is more than just a fast connection. It’s also built for rock-solid reliability and backed by 24/7 technical support.

You Have Questions, We Have Answers

What makes a fiber-optic network better than traditional cable internet?

Fiber-optic technology has several advantages over copper coax cables for both internet and TV:

  • Capacity. Fiber-optic cables transmit more information over a single line than copper, allowing for fast internet speeds and hundreds of TV channels.
  • Signal strength. The signal degrades less in a fiber-optic cable compared to copper, which means more efficient internet and crystal-clear TV.
  • Energy consumption. Because fiber signals are stronger, FiOS has the power to offer symmetrical upload and download speeds.

How does FiOS Business Internet compare to Frontier’s standard business internet?

FiOS offers more bandwidth than our high-speed internet plans. While Frontier Business high-speed internet can reach speeds up to 115 Mbps, our FiOS Business Internet delivers speeds as fast as 940 Mbps in some areas. That means your employees can get more done in less time. Keep in mind that FiOS isn’t available everywhere.

Do I have to sign a contract? Is there an early termination fee?

Frontier FiOS internet plans do not require a long-term agreement. You can sign up for month-to-month or opt for a 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year plan.

There is an early termination fee for ending your contract before the term is up. The fee is simply the remaining balance on the contract.

What kind of equipment will I need with FiOS Business Internet?

Your internet connection is only as good as your equipment. That’s why Frontier tailors your router and modem to your package. Your business will be firing on all cylinders so you can focus on what really matters, serving your customers.

How can I benefit from a symmetrical internet connection?

With Frontier, you’ll get symmetrical speeds—a feature unique to fiber-optic internet. This means your upload and download speeds will be equal. Typically, upload speeds are significantly slower with standard internet.

Symmetrical speeds are essential for modern businesses as cloud-based applications are more popular than ever. If your employees share large files, use digital phone systems, or collaborate via video conferencing, then symmetrical speeds will ensure productivity doesn’t suffer.

What If I Have More Questions?

Choosing an internet package is one of the most important investments a small business makes. The speed and readiness of your connection affects virtually every operation, project, and employee. And that trickles down to your customer’s experience. We’re here to shed some light on popular questions surrounding business internet.
